Old Forge, NY – In mid-December, someone abandoned a kitten in the parking lot of the Tow Bar in Old Forge.
The calico kitten was brought into the bar for safekeeping, but she managed to sneak away and got lost in the bar basement. The Tow Bar said:
No update on the kitty. She crawled through a super tiny hole into a crawl space under the bar. There is a way to the outside in this crawl space, so we think she’s outside. We set a few have a heart traps in the crawl space with no luck there yet. Keep an eye out in town for her!!
After being lost for over a week, the kitten was finally found. On December 25, Tow Bar updated worried Facebook followers with the happy news, writing:
Merry Christmas! We found the cat at 12:06 this morning! It’s a Christmas miracle! She is safe and seems in good health. She will not escape again! We need to call the authorities, get to a vet (definately pregnant) to get checked out. She’s young, cuddly, and friendly!
Staff dubbed the sweet kitty “Mistle-Tow.”

What a beautiful story when we hear so much about cruelty to all animals.
We as humans have really sunk to the bottom of the barrel when it comes to inhumanity, we need to step up, make the laws stronger post these people publicly to shame them big big fines and put them in jail. They don’t deserve freedom or quality of life.
