Manhattan, NY – Recently, a beloved neighborhood cat lost his life when a woman encouraged her dogs to kill him. The cat, Freddy, was a beloved “bodega” cat who lived in Washington Heights until the day he was mauled to death.
According to Cat Collective NY, Freddy’s life was ended by the two dogs whose owner watched with friends.
The group writes:
Late Friday night a local store cat was brutally killed. He was mauled to death after a vicious attack from a woman and her two pit bulls. This was a horrendous act of violence that was encouraged by the owner of the dogs. Restaurant patrons nearby watched and cheered while he fought for his life. Once the dogs were finally done killing the cat, they left his lifeless body lying there. People walked by his body for hours as if he was nothing.
Describing how the people who witnessed the brutal attack on the defenseless cat laughed and joked at his suffering:
For over an hour after the attack the group smoked, laughed, danced and ate food! Every so often they would look under the cars and laugh at Freddy’s tattered and now still body. Someone stopped and took a picture of him. No one tried to help him.
The NY Post reports that “harm or death to an animal caused by another animal is not a criminal matter,” according to the NYPD. Cat Collective wants to find the people responsible for Freddy’s death, offering a $200 reward to encourage people to come forward. People with information are asked to call the authorities.

I hope that woman and every one of those people rots in hell!
