San Francisco, CA – This week, tributes have been pouring in for a beloved Flemish giant bunny who passed away from cancer treatment. The therapy bunny, Alex the Great, was rescued from a meat farm by his owners, Kei Kato and Josh Row.
News of Alex’s death was shared on X on July 21:

Alex had a sweet demeanor that endeared him to people around the world. He spent time comforting travelers and hospice patients and visiting fans at ball games.
Followers of the popular bunny’s X account were told that he had beaten cancer on May 24. Sadly, he suffered a setback and was admitted to the ICU at UC Davis.

Now those who knew and loved the larger-than-life bunny are sharing their memories and admiration for the rabbit who brought so many people joy.
