Pierce County, Washington – A Tacoma woman is facing nearly a dozen charges following the discovery of 68 cats, alive and dead, in a parked U-Haul truck. According to sources, the grim discovery was made when Tacoma police responded to a Motel 6 on 76th Street for a welfare on November 7.

Officers could hear cats inside the parked moving truck and Naomi Erma Harrison, 39, came out of the motel and told officers that she was responsible for the U-Haul. Inside the vehicle, officers found personal belongings, and dozens of crying cats, drenched in urine, and suffering from starvation.

The police report said, “The remaining cats were agitated, very wet with urine, and stepping on the deceased cats.” A total of 10 cats had died in the vehicle, and the surviving cats went to the Humane Society of Tacoma for care.
Harrison was booked into the Pierce County Corrections Jail on eleven first-degree animal cruelty charges; she could face more. If convicted, she could up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine per first-degree count.

The person who did this to poor cats, that’s murder, brutally cruel, should be punishment, jail.piss me off for poor cats lost their lives.
That evil bastard Naomi Erma Harrison belongs behind bars for the rest of her useless life!! Make that devil pay!!!
Laws are in place to protect pets and punish people that break the laws. No more slap on the wrist. Prosecute this owner!! How are they ever going to learn if there are no consequences to poor choice and bad treatment to pets?! Put her in prison!!
I sure hope somebody will open up their heart to this sweet cat. I work in a cat shelter and people drop them off all the time. It’s usually because the owner dies or get sick and the children don’t want it . Can’t live a long time if they’re indoor and well taken care of you have to be able to get commit to about 15 to 20 years. These senior cats make wonderful pets. Please open your heart. Someone in New York would love to have a cat that is docile and well trained.
