At 13 Years Of Age, Loving German Shepherd Surrendered To Shelter

Baldwin Park, CA Annie, a 13-year-old German shepherd, was surrendered to a busy California animal control agency in the twilight of her life. At a time when she needed her family the most, she was handed over to strangers…her fate uncertain.

And time is running short for this loving old girl. This week, a senior dog advocacy page wrote:

13 YRS OLD! 💔HEARTBREAKING!💔 German Shepherd is a sweet senior German Shepherd who deserves a cozy indoor bed and someone to love her in her golden years. She would love to be your lap dog or couch companion. The shelter is no place for a gentle, loving old soul like Annie.

Annie has the typical maladies experienced by senior dogs…her mobility is not what it used to be, and she has the aches and pains that come with age-related arthritis. Please share Annie’s information. She did not deserve to lose her home and she certainly should not die alone in the shelter.

  3. I wonder if the people who put this sweet elder dog in the shelter will get dumped out of the house when they become seniors too.
