Woodburn, Oregon – Police in Woodburn are searching for whoever is responsible for abandoning a German shepherd who was found tethered to a rock in the 600 block of Willow Avenue.
In a public release, the authorities said:
Help Identify this Dog or its Owner
Early this morning (5/13), at approximately 5:20 a.m., Woodburn officers responded to an animal complaint after a German Shepherd dog was found abandoned and tethered to a rock and a parked vehicle in the 600 block of Willow Avenue, Woodburn.

Officers were able to safely remove the dog, who has since been transferred to the Marion County Dog Shelter.
Help is Needed from the Public
The authorities said:
We are asking the public for help in identifying the dog or its owner. If you have information or video surveillance footage from the area that could help investigators determine how the dog was left there, please contact WPD at 503-982-2345 and reference PD Case #26-5783.
