Thousand Palms, California – A six-year-old German shepherd named Nora has been slated for euthanasia this week – specifically, on September 17. A shelter volunteer is pleading for help for the beautiful dog with the picture-perfect smile.
Nora really touched me. This beautiful girl is incredibly affectionate, gentle, smart and well behaved. She has a neurological condition affecting her back legs that makes her unsteady, but she can walk, doesn’t appear to be in pain and is otherwise doing well. She may never walk completely normally, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have a beautiful life. Nora deserves the chance to be evaluated outside the shelter and, most importantly, the chance to live.
