Anderson, South Carolina – A beautiful dog named Sapphire is howling for her deceased owner from inside of her kennel run at the Anderson County PAWS facility. The senior dog did not ask to lose her home, and she certainly did not ask to wind up in an unfamiliar animal shelter, but that is what fate dealt her.
Now, the shelter staff is desperately searching for a loving person to take her in.
Sapphire is clearly overweight and in need of a good diet, and gentle exercise to help her feel better. But most of all, she is in need of a home of her own with someone who can assure her that things will be okay.
