Detroit, Michigan – The Detroit Police Department have said 29-year-old Jordan Love is facing charges for the non-lethal stabbing of her dog. According to the authorities Love stabbed her dog multiple times in February and then fled the state.
In a release, the department said:
Following an investigation by the Detroit Police Department (DPD), the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Jordan Love, 29, of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of her dog.

Recounting the crime:
It is alleged that Love stabbed the dog multiple times. It is also alleged that at approximately 1:30 a.m., on February 7, 2025, the defendant posted a video of the injured dog on social media. Sometime thereafter she fled from Michigan.
Love was located by authorities in Greenville, South Carolina, on March 20, 2025, and extradited back to Michigan where she was charged with Animals – Killing/Torturing – Second Degree, which carries a maximum penalty of 7 Years and Abandoning/Cruelty to Four to Ten Animals, which carries a maximum penalty of 2 Years.
