Update 10/25/2024: Sage was rescued by the Greendog Foundation! Thanks to everyone who networked on her behalf.

Apple Valley, CA – A four-month-old puppy named Sage is facing an untimely and unfair demise at an animal shelter in Apple Valley. Sage has clearly had a rough start to life. She is malnourished, with her bones clearly visible, and under socialized – uncertainty and fear clear in her beautiful eyes.

A social media advocate page writes:
Sage, a 4-month-old puppy, is sitting in a high-kill shelter, scared and confused with no idea why she’s here. She’s just a baby, her innocent eyes pleading for love and security, but instead, she’s been left alone to face a heartbreaking end. In a place where time is running out, Sage is just another number, scheduled for euthanasia, but she doesn’t deserve this fate.
Sage deserves to live out her life. She deserves what it feels like to be loved and properly cared for. Please share Sage’s adoption information and help her find the help she so desperately needs.
