Marysville, Washington – A dog breeder in Washington is facing dozens of cruelty charges after Marysville Police found 42 dogs stowed in a utility trailer. The West Highland White Terriers, aka Westies, were found in stacked cages, and puppies were held in a plastic bin.
Police said the dogs were in poor condition with their coats covered in urine and feces; none of the dogs were altered.
All of the seized dogs were taken to the Everett Animal Shelter for treatment and care. The animal welfare agency said:

Because this is an active and ongoing case, we are unable to provide specific information about these dogs, the circumstances of the case, or the investigation. Questions regarding the investigation should be directed to the City of Marysville. There is not yet a timeline on if, and when these animals will be available for adoption.

Another reason to hate dog breeders. There’s a lot of dumb people out there looking to make a quick buck off selling puppies while the adults are baby makers. The whole industry needs to be shut down and dog breeding should be outlawed. No more pet stores or dog/cat mills hiding behind back yard fences. You want a pet, go to a shelter to adopt one or rescue one from the streets. End the cruelty now! Sentence this man to prison, ban him from ever owning pets and charge him $$ for all the medical associated with this rescue.

Why hasn’t the breeder been publicly named?
Take the dogs and everything they own and then put them in jail so they can live in a small cage… If the people involved were licensed, fine the licensing agency for dereliction of duty if they were not inspected on a regular basis.
Another horrible breeder! They always do this and the animals suffer. I think they need to be put out of business permanently. If you’re gonna license someone to do that there has to be accountability and they’re never is. This happens too much.
Put their sorry ass in jail and charge them a huge fine and put them on the protection list where they can’t have contact with the animals!!
I hope this scumbag gets the maximum penalty for every single felony count! Piece of garbage intentionally denied these pups ANY quality of life just to maximize profits. No concerns for the welfare of these dogs, no concern for potential future families that would have these dogs. Unacceptable!
