18 Years Of Age And ‘Barely Alive’ A Dog Named Nelly Is Getting Her Second Chance

Washington County, TN – An elderly dog is getting her second chance at life after landing at the Washington County, TN Animal Shelter at the age of 18 years. According to the shelter, the dog named Nelly was “near death” when they took her in.

But Nelly is no longer being neglected and the good people at the shelter are doing their utmost to improve her life. Already she has had her dirty fur cleaned and trimmed, and she looks like a new dog.

In the short time that Nelly has been at the shelter, she has gained a much-needed pound of weight. She no longer has to wonder when or if she will receive a meal, or if someone will take care of her.
