Union County, SC – There are monsters among us and two were recently arrested in Union County, South Carolina. According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a residence on Linersville Road in Buffalo on Friday night regarding a horrific act of animal cruelty involving two women and a dog who was set on fire.
As reported by WYFF News, Cassidie Hyatt and Jada Rogers are accused of pouring gasoline on a live dog and then setting the dog on fire. The women were arrested and are charged with ill treatment of animals.
According to Fox Carolina, the dog died from its injuries.
Both women were booked into the Union County Detention Center; they were each granted a $10,000 bond.
