Chilton County, AL – An Alabama dog trainer has been sentenced for starving a woman’s four-month-old puppy to death. Cupid Seymour, 49, was sentenced to one year in the county jail for a cruelty to animal charge stemming from the 2024 starvation death of a Chesapeake Bay retriever named Chloe.
Karen Black enrolled her puppy in a month-long board-and-train program at Seymour’s facility, Cupid’s Doghouse. Three weeks into the program, Seymour called Black to let her know that Chloe had died. A necropsy revealed the puppy had starved to death and lost 33 percent of her body weight during her three week stay at the training facility.
According to court records, Seymour was also ordered to pay $3,500 in restitution and fines totaling $1,000, as well as two years of probation.

When he only received a slap on the wrist is the reason this POS will do the same thing again.
Cupid Seymour in AL. A Piece of human crap. One year is a joke.
I hope this monster is never allowed near another animal for the rest of his life… That pup must not have eaten one bite the entire three weeks. He deserves the same exact treatment as what he gave to the puppy!
This scumbag looks happy to have that orange jumpsuit so he should have it on permanently!
This pos doesn’t deserve such a light sentence! The puppy was neglected and died a horrible painful death from starvation and I’m sure lack of water! He should of had at least 20 years in prison, fined $20,000.00, lifetime of probation to make sure there’s no pets of any kind around him ever again!
Agreed!! He’s happy! Shows he has no remorse disgusting pos
