Strangers Rally To Save Injured Dog Found Abandoned At Park

Chicago, IL – Strangers are rallying around a terribly injured dog who was found abandoned in an Edgewater park. Bri Coleman was walking her dog Zeus when she noticed a dog laying in the rocks at Berger Park; the dog was unable to get up and walk.

In a GoFundMe for the dog, Coleman says, “I couldn’t leave him so I picked him up and took him to the emergency vet. It turns out that both his hips and knees are completely shattered. The vet said he was abused and thrown away.”

Despite his pain, the dog, dubbed Rocky, has a sweet disposition. And though he does not have an owner, strangers are donating to get him the veterinary care he so desperately needs. So far, over $16,000 has been donated for his care.

You can follow Rocky’s journey at this link to GoFundMe.

  3. Poor sweet looking dog, looks like an angel, so scared and in pain and helpless out there all alone. Thank God he was found by GOOD people. Whoever did that to him I would love to have under my complete control and power for maybe 15 minutes.
