Arnold, Missouri – Last week, prosecutors charged 44-year-old Michael Lance Lott with animal abuse by torture or mutilation for throwing an innocent puppy from a hotel window, causing fatal injuries. According to court documents, Lott picked up a slumbering three-month-old pit bull, Bitty, from someone’s lap, hurling the pup out the third story window of a hotel room.

As reported by Fox 2 News, the puppy landed in the hotel parking lot and died from severe injuries. According to court documents, Lott threw the pup from the window because he wanted to cause “emotional distress” to the person he was arguing with in the hotel room.
Lott has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1997. His most recent incident landed him behind bars at the Jefferson County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
