Lexington, KY – On the night of March 3, a dog enjoying a walk with his owner was stabbed in the head by 20-year-old Dominic Marsellus Kinnel. As reported by WKYT News, the dog survived the stabbing but had to receive treatment at an emergency veterinary clinic. According to Lex 18, the laceration in the dog’s head required “multiple staples.”
Kinnel allegedly told the dog’s owner that he attacked the dog because he was having a “really bad day.”
Kinnel’s bad day secured him a charge of animal torture. He also faces additional charges including terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. Kinnel was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center. He is scheduled for arraignment on March 12.
