Las Vegas, Nevada – A woman was arrested and charged after abandoning her dog inside the Harry Reid International airport in Las Vegas earlier this month. According to reports, the woman became upset after learning that she did not have the appropriate online documentation filled out to travel with her dog.
Rather than ensuring her dog was safe, 26-year-old Germiran Bryson tied her two-year-old goldendoodle to a bag sizer at a Terminal 3 ticket counter and walked away.
The dog, dubbed JetBlue after being abandoned at one of the JetBlue ticket counters, has been taken in by the Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas group after being held by animal control for 10 days – his owner never tried to reclaim him.
Today, a deluge of people are clamoring to give him a new home.
The rescue organization said:
JetBlue was abandoned at the LV airport. His owner was arrested & charged for animal abandonment. While that part of his story is heartbreaking, what has followed has been nothing short of extraordinary.
The outpouring of love from our community has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. We are doing our very best to keep up with the messages, calls, and applications — please bear with us. 💙
We can share this:
He has received so many applications & inquiries. (Yes — applications are required.) We only have one JetBlue… but we have many other amazing dogs just like him who are also waiting for their second chance. If your heart was moved by his story, we hope you’ll consider one of them too.

JetBlue’s former owner is facing multiple charges, including animal abandonment, resisting arrest, and providing a false statement to or obstructing a public officer.
