Chambers County, Texas – Police in Chambers County are seeking information about an animal cruelty case that involves a Labrador retriever named Ace. According to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, someone fatally shot the six-year-old dog on Monday, January 26, 2026, around 5:00 p.m.
Deputies were called to a home in the 1500 block of Cotton Lane Road in the Plantation neighborhood of Baytown where they found the dog, Ace, deceased in the backyard from a gunshot wound. The authorities said, “The shooting is believed to have occurred around 5:00 PM, and a nearby resident reported hearing a gunshot around that time.”
