Irvington, Alabama – A 22-year-old Alabama man is behind bars and facing a felony aggravated animal cruelty charge following the fatal stabbing of his family’s dog. According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Frank Conley attacked the family dog, Bell, on January 12 because the dog had defecated in the house located in the 8000 block of Two Mile Road.

The authorities said, “The investigation revealed that in the early morning hours of January 12, 2026, the suspect, Frank Conley, armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the family dog, “Bell,” in the abdomen, puncturing her lungs and causing fatal injuries.”
When interviewed, the sheriff’s office noted that Conley showed no remorse for the killing and showed “no emotion.” The authorities are trying to determine if Conley is responsible for any other animal disappearances in the vicinity.
Conley was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail.
