Huffman, TX – A woman has been arrested and charged for allegedly abandoning a kitten and running the kitten over with a truck. The disturbing incident was captured on video late last month – it shows Lucie Siewe, 49, abandoning a small black kitten along FM 2100 in Harris County and then running the kitten over with a Ford truck while driving away.
On August 2, the Houston SPCA issued a social media post about the cruel incident, writing:
A heartbreaking act of cruelty in Huffman, TX: A witness saw a woman abandon a 3-month-old kitten on the roadside near FM 1960 and Crosby Huffman Road. Moments later, the kitten was struck by the vehicle as she drove away.
The injured kitten was rescued by the Houston SPCA’s ambulance and is now receiving care for multiple fractures and a serious leg wound. If the leg doesn’t heal, amputation may be necessary.
According to KHOU News, the kitten, Alex, underwent surgery to repair a diaphragmatic hernia and leg fractures.
Siewe is facing a charge for cruelty to an animal.
