Owasso, OK – A veterinary hospital in Owasso, Oklahoma, is offering a reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of whoever is responsible for harming multiple animals at an area park. On Sunday, Family Animal Medicine announced the $1000 reward offering via social media, explaining the cruel incident:
We will be offering a $1000 reward to the person who can provide evidence or information that leads to Owasso Police Department learning the identity of the individual responsible for the geese, ducks and rabbit recently darted at Elm Creek Park. Many of you have asked to contribute to a reward and so we will offer a link to our non-profit benevolent fund. If the individual is never found, the funds collected will be used for our on-going mission of the fund to help animals in need.
The veterinary hospital is hopeful that factual tips will be reported to the Owasso Police Department to help this cruelty case be solved.
The business said, “We hope one of these agencies is able to find who did this. More than anything, we want the carnage to stop. Broken hearts abound from our own town, and across the country as so many have reached out concerned about these animals. Thank you all for your continued compassion.”
Thankfully, the veterinary hospital has been able to successfully treat several of the animals who were injured. On Saturday, an update was provided about the injured goose and duck who were darted:
We would like to provide an update on the goose and duck under our care. The goose is doing really well and got to wander around the office yesterday. She’s been splashing in the kiddie pool and eating well also. The duck had surgery yesterday to remove the dart. So far, about 24 hours out, he is doing well. He is still not out of the woods but seems to be improving. He was all bandaged up and looked like he was wearing a t-shirt. It was super cute! Today his wound area looks good.
Donations to help with the ongoing care for these injured animals can be made here.
