Philadelpha, PA – An adorable dog named Cheesecake narrowly escaped a life of unimaginable suffering when he was rescued from a dogfighting operation. Cheesecake was just a young puppy when he was saved, but nobody has given him a real home in the three years that have passed.
Pennsylvania SPCA says, “Quite literally born in cruelty, we saved him as a weeks old puppy from a dog-fighting operation. From the very beginning, his life has been a story of survival and hope. Though he spent most of his life growing up in a shelter, Cheesecake has never lost his spirit or his heart.”
According to the shelter, Cheesecake takes a moment to warm up to people he does not know, but he is incredibly smart and loyal, and he already knows many commands and tricks.
The shelter says,
Cheesecake is open to meeting other lowkey dogs and would thrive in a quiet, loving home where he can continue to heal and grow.
He’s spent too long in the shelter, and it’s time for this beautiful boy to experience the comfort of a real home. He’s ready to show the world that despite his past, he has so much love and loyalty to give.
Please consider Cheesecake! And if you are unable to open your home to this deserving pup, please share his story with others.
