Orlando, FL – A senior cat was recently surrendered to the Orange County Animal Services facility because her owner wanted to travel and could not find anyone to care for her. Albert Harris Photography shares the sad story about Jenny, a seven-year-old tabby who lost her home.
On Tuesday, Harris recounted the disheartening details:
Two days ago, an owner came in with an obese cat & wanted to surrender the cat for the reason above. She added that she had tried every resource available to her but couldn’t find anyone to look after her cat. So, she just decided to surrender the cat as she was fed up with everything & would try to reclaim the cat However, she came off insincere to the officers after she was told we were not a boarding facility& that she was going to relinquish custody of the cat to the shelter. Once she was educated about surrendering Jenny, she quickly signed the paperwork and headed straight to the airport.

Adding his hope that this sweet girl would find a home to be in for the upcoming holidays:
Now that has led Jenny without a place to call a home just right before Thanksgiving. She doesn’t realize it yet as she is still hopeful & cheerfulthat her owner will come back for her. Except in reality her owner is on a plane right now while she sits in a cold dark kennel. Besties I want to emphasize she is a senior.
Jenny’s identification number is A560168.
