Greene County, NY – The rescue community is mourning the loss of a man who perished Sunday evening in a plane crash in the Town of Windham. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, 49-year-old Seuk Kim was found deceased at the site of the crash, as well as one of the dogs he was transporting to an animal shelter. Another puppy suffered two broken legs and a third dog suffered minor injuries.
Seuk Kim’s wife, Anna Kang, posted to Facebook following the devastating tragedy, writing in part, “I am heart broken. My husband Seuk Kim gained his angel wings doing what he loved. He was flying rescue dogs to Albany when the accident occurred. He is my lifelong partner, my soul mate, father of my children. I miss him and his bright personality.”
The authorities provided an update about the surviving dogs.
Rescue groups and rescue advocates are sharing their admiration for Kim and expressing the tremendous loss his passing brings.
