Boerne, TX – A rescue group has stepped up to save a dog who has suffered the worst of humanity. The dog, Ace, was taken in at a San Antonio animal shelter before Charming Pet Rescue offered to take him under their wing of care.
Images of Ace at the shelter are shocking – his body nothing more than skin and bones. Tragically, Ace was adopted from the San Antonio animal services facility when he was a puppy…in the time that passed, he was neglected nearly to death.
When Charming Pet Rescue learned about his plight, they offered to take him in. The agency updated Facebook followers, writing:
Charming Pet Rescue has a rescue tag in place for this sweet boy. Someone starved him and then dumped him. We were gonna wait to post until we had him and could post a freedom ride pic but Animal Care Services suggested we go ahead and post since they were getting lots of emails about him.

Update-
Animal Care Services is opening an investigation and Ace needs to be cleared by their clinic before he can leave. There was an emergency and now both vets are tied up and won’t be able to clear him for a while. They asked that we come for him tomorrow, he will be going straight to Callaghan Road Animal Hospital.
Ace has suffered long enough. Hopefully help has arrived in time for him to recovery and learn what it means to be loved. Follow the rescue agency on Facebook at this link.
