British Columbia, Canada – Thanks to an observant good Samaritan, 10 cats and kittens were rescued after being abandoned in a canvas carrier that was left near a British Columbia truck stop.
The BC SPCA says, “These 10 cats and kittens were left trapped in a canvas carrier by a truck stop – a new mama with her five babies who were just a few weeks old, two older kittens, a heavily pregnant mum and another female. All were crammed into a space no bigger than two feet long.”
The shelter was not open when the cats were rescued, so the woman brought them to her house for safe keeping. The animal welfare agency said, “This animal-loving hero dropped everything to save this group, and we’re sure you would have done the same. Her selfless act made a huge impact on the lives of these animals in desperate need.”

One of the cats delivered a litter of kittens shortly after being rescued. Now, the shelter has taken 15 cats under its wing. Fortunately, foster homes were found to keep the little ones safe and comfortable until they are ready for adoption.
