Update: Adopted (for a second time) at the shelter’s free adoption event on Aug. 10, 2024.
San Bernardino, CA – A German shepherd, described as “nothing short of perfect” is at risk of being euthanized at the San Bernardino City Animal Control. The seven-year-old dog, Yami, was adopted at the facility’s free adoption even on August 4 and returned the next day because the adopter’s other dog kept attacking him.
Yami’s advocate writes:
Adopter stated their shepherd kept trying to attack this guy, who was nothing short of perfect. He didn’t fight back. He played in the park with the owner’s other dog. Did well in backyard with owner’s other dog, but once inside the house, owner’s dog kept trying to attack him. He was excellent with the adopter’s children, too.
Yami is a good boy – in a terrible situation. He did not ask to be adopted and returned. He did his best and did not fight back when another dog attacked him, yet he is the one in danger of being put down at the facility right now.
Look at this handsome boy – he is gorgeous, and he has the personality of a wonderful companion. But he may be lost forever if someone does not step up to save him soon.
Please share Yami’s adoption information – he is running out of time.
