Modesto, CA – A ridiculous adopter returned a dog to the animal shelter where he was adopted from just one hour after walking out the door to embark on a new life. The reason? The adopter told staff at the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency that the year-old dog, S’mores, was “too big.”
It is impossible to comprehend how someone did not realize S’mores size at the time of adoption.
Heather Gee shared S’mores sad situation on TikTok, garnering the attention of thousands of people who were angered and heartbroken over the young dog’s plight.

But there is a happily-ever-after to this otherwise sad tale. S’mores was adopted (hopefully for the long term!!) on January 30. Best of luck to you big guy!
